Z meters ability: "Probe
and read it," for analog measurement of complex impedances
in a wide variety of R&D applications, QA, production test and
discrete parts. The 4815's variable RF test
signal frequency tunes from 0.5 to 108MHz, in 5 switched ranges. The impedance magnitude reading is in 9
ranges, from 10 ohms to 100K ohms. Direct read the resultant phase angles
between 0° and 360° in two ranges. Add a good digital frequency counter
to let you precisely monitor and also resolve the RF test freq., being very
useful at piezo zero cross-over points, Hi-Q circuits or discrete components. |

Hi...
My name is George Sandford, the former HP4815A Technical/Production
Supervisor at Hewlett-Packard's NJ Manufacturing facility.
I am the recognized specialist in the TOTAL service and calibration
of the HP4815A RF Vector Impedance Meter - restoring 4815A
Probes and Main Frames to their original factory specifications. |
 |
Restoration
to specification is accomplished with factory expertise,
OEM parts
and using special factory tooling. Many HP4815A RF Vector Impedance Meter
Probe accessories,as found in the original HP600A Probe Kit,
may still be available also. |
 |
Existing units of the versatile Hewlett-Packard
4815A RF Vector Impedance Meter, its Probe, and accessories
are past the HP 5-year support period. However, on June 26,
1991, The Hewlett-Packard Co. granted Sandford Associates the
right to repair the HP4815A Probe Assembly. In addition,
Sandford Associates has many of the HP OEM
parts to service the main frame including photocopies of the HP Application Note #86,
"Z-Meter Usage." |
